Beste DGE'ers,
Als jullie dit lezen zijn wij waarschijnlijk niet meer in leven en liggen we ergens vertrappeld in de pit van Vera. Waarschijnlijk zijn Behemoth, Diabolic en Destroyer666 ons dan teveel geworden. We staan nu op het punt dit avontuur te beginnen, en weten niet waar het zal eindigen. Al helemaal alternatief gekleed, zijn wij mentaal en fysiek er in staat ons totaal over te geven aan dit evenement en optredens. Het gaat jullie allen goed, vertel jullie kinderen en hun kinder over ons, over ons leven, waar we voor stonden, en waar ons leven over ging. Het gaat jullie goed, zeggen wij nogmaals.

| Nou we hebben het overleefd... Drie bandjes met wit gesmienkte (of hoe je het ook schrijft) lui die op een verschrikkelijk hoog geluidsniveau onverstaanbare teksten schreeuwen. Keihard. Op een gegeven moment hebben laurens en ik maar keukenrol in ons oor gestopt zodat we de pit in konden zonder doof te worden. Daar heb ik nog een afdruk van een tand in mijn voorhoofd aan overgehouden en een bekende van mij is zijn kroon daaraan verloren, maar goed. Het was heel erg ruig. Veel ruiger dan ik me had voorgesteld in elk geval... Ik zit onder de blauwe plekken... |

Wat een kloteherrie!! Het was niet uit te houden! Nadat we propjes in onze oren hadden gestopt werd 90% van die tienduizenden decibellen gedempt dus was het goed uit te houden op 5 meter van de enorme box. Daar konden we lekker staan hossen en is Georg regelmatig de pit in gevlogen. Ikzelf bleef staan als muur (mensen wegduwen/beuken) omdat ik een GSM in mijn zak had die waarschijnlijk de pit niet overleefd zou hebben.
Al met al was het vet gaaf, en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
Ik heb geen verschil gemerkt tussen Diabolic, Destroyer666 of Behemoth. Als men mij had verteld dat het steeds dezelfde personen zouden zijn geweest, dan had ik dat ook geloofd. De muziek leek op elkaar (3 gitaristen die rammen op dat ding, 1 drummer die 400+beats per minuut ramt, en 1 van de gitaristen die onverstaanbare death metal teksten in de microfoon zit te schreeuwen, de andere 2 gitaristen staan dan een beetje te headbangen).
Ik heb ook wat blauweplekken op mijn armen... Maar dat hoort er bij... |
