Rinke, misschien is het handig om te weten dat alle onderwerpen waar iets nieuws in staat bovenaan komen te staan. Binnenkort zal ik het nog wat uitbreiden met lampjes of iets dergelijks.
Je kunt dit trouwens gewoon zien als allemaal aparte discussieborden met ieder een andere titel. Er is er 1 gestart door Laurens met de titel "Discussiebord". Als jij alleen daar wilt kijken kan dat natuurlijk.
Maar lijkt het jou beter als we zowel deze forums als het discussiebord gebruiken? Mij lijkt dat nog verwarrender. Zijn er meer mensen die zo'n forum lastig vinden? |

| D'uh het gaat er mij ook niet om of je dat kunt zien waar je geweest bent of niet, maar als je gewoon een paar dagen niet geweest bent dan staab er ineens weer allemaal nieuwe forums. wat in feite gewoon 1 messageboard is maar opgesplitst is in aparte delen om het meer verwarrend te maken. en dan moet je dus elke forum apart openen, en op alle forum apart reageren. terwijl met een mssg board dan kun je gewoon met een berichtje tegen andere praten, wel zo makkmelijk en wel zo leuk en wel zo gezellig. |

Maar wat is er nou erg als er 2 of 3 kwesties een beetje door elkaar lopen? Dat kunnen de jongetjes toch wel aan? een beetje informatica student kan ik toch wel aan meerdere dingen tegelijk denken.
Plus zoals je ziet wekt het forum op dit gebied ook niet: Op deze forum lopen nu al 2 discussies door elkaar!!! Hahaha!
En wat is dan de bedoeling, dat alle forums tot in den eeuwigheid op het lijstje blijven staan? |

Rinke, jij bent degene die hier een tweede onderwerp begon :-P.
Het grote voordeel van gescheiden onderwerpen is dat we hier uitgebreid over de kwestie discussiebord kunnen praten terwijl elders discussies over stemgedrag en over de domeinnaam kunnen plaatsvinden. Ik moet er niet aan denken dat we dat allemaal door elkaar heen zouden moeten doen.
De bedoeling is dat straks verouderde onderwerpen vanzelf uit het lijstje verdwijnen, doordat ik ervoor zorg dat alleen de 15 (bijvoorbeeld) meest recente direct bereikbaar zijn. Oudere onderwerpen bevinden zich dan een pagina verder, die zullen beschikbaar blijven totdat ze eventueel uit noodzaak verwijdert moeten worden.
Het gebruik een forum ten opzichte van een simpel discussiebord wordt steeds belangrijker naarmate het aantal bezoekers toeneemt. Op sites met enorm veel bezoekers biedt 1 site voor verschillende hoofdonderwerpen verschillende forums, die dan weer worden onderverdeeld in meerdere threads (beter woord dan onderwerpen, omdat het onderwerp niet hetzelfde hoeft te blijven). Hier maken we maar gebruik van 1 forum.
Ik spreek van de Gouden Emmer forums, omdat er wel meerdere forums worden ondersteund. Ik ben nog van plan die functionaliteit uit te breiden zodat de Epic site bijvoorbeeld het Epic forum op de Gouden Emmer forums kan hosten. Dan zijn we van de reclame af.
Je kunt dit forum trouwens erg goed vergelijken met het huidige Epic messageboard. Alleen nu worden de reply's niet allemaal weergegeven, maar alleen het eerste bericht. Verder hebben afzonderlijke berichten geen titel. Dit forum is beter dan het Epic forum omdat het 1) makkelijk is om te zien waar nieuwe dingen staan en omdat 2) de breedte controleerbaar is omdat bij populaire onderwerpen de inspringing niet te ver gaat. |
