Aangezien er op dit forum veel mensen komen die een boel afweten van computers, lijkt me dit een perfecte plaats voor mijn vraag:
Al enige tijd heb ik problemen met mijn computer (een AMD Athlon 1700), programma's lopen om de haverklap vast en hij zit behoorlijk vaak uit zichzelf te resetten. Nu heb ik een paar week geleden WinXP er opnieuw opgezet en toen ging het een tijdje wel redelijk goed maar nu is het is weer kommer en kwel. De computer gaat vooral fucken als ik hem een tijdje aan heb laten staan. In het begin valt er dus wel mee te werken. Nou heb ik het programma 'memtest' gedraaid en volgens deze rakker heb ik allerlei geheugenerrors. Ik heb ook een virus/worm-scan gedaan en die kan niks vinden. Liggen mijn problemen aan het geheugen? Is er een andere oorzaak? Hoe kom ik daar achter? Moet ik de computer naar de compu-zaak brengen? Moet ik er nieuw geheugen in laten zetten? Ik weet het allemaal niet! Alvast bedankt voor de reacties... |

Probeer die geheugentests (simpele is ook goed) eens wanneer de computer pas net aan staat. Als die dan ook foutmeldingen geven, ben je snel klaar.
Laatst heb ik zoïets gezien bij iemand waar de ventilator van de voeding kapot was. Dat ding raakte zwaar oververhit en kon de boel niet meer aan. Komt er warme lucht uit dat ding aan de achterkant? ("ja, warme lucht" + "nee, koude lucht" zijn goede antwoorden "geen lucht" is fout) Schijnt toch relatief veel voor te komen. Je zou ook kunnen proberen de zijkant er een paar dagen vanaf te halen, dan zijn vrijwel alle vormen van oververhitting uitgesloten.
En als de computer geen problemen geeft als'ie maar kort aan staat, dan computer je voortaan toch gewoon wat korter? |

Er komt trouwens wel lucht uit de achterkant... Maar ik heb nu dat SiSoft gedoe gedownload en ik zal eens de vergelijking maken als ie net aan staat en als ie wat langer aan staat.... |
